Contestants would have 30 seconds to 1 minute to get the highest score on certain games. I believe it was on in the morning either Saturday or Sunday.

I've recently had my kids watch them, and they were quite amused. Captain Lou Albano, Cyndi Lauper, and pure weirdness, not to mention a pretty cool theme song.
Of course, there were franchises that HAD video games AND cartoons, such as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (also a cartoon classic) and DuckTails (good NES game).
