I love movies. I spent half of my teenage years working in video stores and watching film after film after film. I also love games. So I thought it would be fun to combine the two. Here's how this will work: I post a recognizable still from a movie that most people will know - except the still has been altered with some filters. The first person to identify the movie correctly gets to post the next image. Sound fun?
Edit: Here's Randy Slavey's ongoing history of the game, with all of the images used to date.
We'll start with an easy one:
A van? You are clearly underestimating the importance of this ... device. ; )
Well, I just tried to cheat and crop just the bottom left corner to google it, but I didn't get any hits...
So I'll say The Avengers. lol
I know it isn't right, but to me this still looks like it is from the view from behind a desk. The "device" on the left looks like something from the 70's, with 3 people standing, almost giving a "Charlie's Angel's" pose.
The device also looks like a side view of a primitive heads up display.
Nonsense, it's a very important machine. It lets you know your baby is still alive. It's also my favorite. You see, we lease this back from the company we sold it to, and that way, it comes under the monthly current budget and not the capital account.
Does this machine go BING?
Actually, it's more of a PING!, but close enough.
Now this begs the question did you leave it unobscured because it is "very important" to the scene we are trying to figure out, or only because it is "very important" because you have a particular fondness for it because you work with it?
It is very important to the scene and I have a definite fondness for it. When my wife and kids were in the hospital, I was always on the lookout for the machine that goes PING! Never found it.
I kinda feel like Dennis got it when he asked if it went bing. So, if he wants it, it's all his. If not, it's yours, Dave.
Take it Dave, I already went recently
