What is Mafia? Sometimes called Werewolf, it's a fun party game of accusations and conspiracy. If you haven't had the pleasure of playing this charmingly devious game at a convention or on another web forum, there's a fun Flash animation here to help you understand the rules.
I'll be moderating a Game of Thrones-themed Mafia game here on the GeekDad Community. If you're interested in joining in, all you have to do is sign up below.

Permalink Reply by Ian M'Rock on May 10, 2012 at 5:05pm Guilty as charged. I'm an SK. Last night, I tried to kill Nathan and was blocked.
As SK, I have an unNightkillable status: the Scum have tried to kill me at least once (someone also tried to kill me Night One, that may have been our Vigilante, however,) and are more than welcome to try again. It may be that Nathan is a Scum Godfather with a similar status.
Since Night Two, I've been acting in Town's interest (Well, self interest, but it boils down to the same thing at this point of the game). I'm more than happy to offer my carcass for the lynching when we finish off the Scum.
Vote: Nathan
Permalink Reply by Randy Slavey on May 10, 2012 at 5:06pm Andy, we're not children or political talk-radio audience. Constantly repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make your argument any more convincing. I'd like to hear from Kevin and Ian.
Permalink Reply by Andy on May 10, 2012 at 8:31pm Yeah, the reason I reposted that was because I had to rephrase the info about Ian; I had said, "Ian is town" and when I went back and reviewed my notes I figured out that this was incorrect. Ian was "not mafia". So I made another post and then found out that I could go back and edit the previous post, and... well, I guess at this point it doesn't really matter.
Permalink Reply by Randy Slavey on May 10, 2012 at 5:08pm Ian, Godfathers are investigative immune. Nathan can't be one of those if Andy got a read on him.
So, do you win if the town wins, then?
Permalink Reply by Randy Slavey on May 10, 2012 at 5:11pm Wait a minute, hold on. Ian, you can be blocked? Doesn't that mean we've lost? Why don't they just block you every night, and stalemate the vote every day? They can kill one of the others of us tonight, have voting power, and lynch you during the day. Why are we still playing...unless there are only 2 scum?

Permalink Reply by Michael Harrison on May 10, 2012 at 5:13pm Because sometimes scum make mistakes. :)
Looks like it's over, guys.

Permalink Reply by Michael Harrison on May 10, 2012 at 5:14pm I will post the conclusion tonight, but I have to head out for a bit. Congratulations, scum. I'm calling it now, because I don't think you're dumb enough to screw this up for yourselves.
Permalink Reply by Randy Slavey on May 10, 2012 at 5:15pm Michael, they only make mistakes when they don't have Cersei Lannister leading the attack...muhahaha muhahaha.
Permalink Reply by Ian M'Rock on May 10, 2012 at 5:15pm You're right, in general. However, Mike's spiced this game up a bit: usually SKs aren't unkillable at night. He's some sort of powered role (unless there's a town Doc out there protecting him.)
I do not win with the Town. I have to be the last man standing, which at this point, is essentially impossible. It's much more interesting at this point to side with the Town than the Scum.

* Randy Slavey: Cersei Lannister
* Nathan Barry: Jaime Lannister
* Gene Davis: Sandor Clegane
Your Town:
* Kevin Clem: Sansa Stark
* Andy: Arya Stark
Your Third Party:
* Ian M'Rock: Daenerys Targaryen
More to come later! Gotta run.
Permalink Reply by Randy Slavey on May 10, 2012 at 5:19pm We agreed last night we'd never vote for ourselves and always block Ian. After that, it was just a matter of picking off Kevin and Andy, then lynching Ian when we had the numbers.

Permalink Reply by Nathan Barry on May 10, 2012 at 5:21pm Hold on a minute, what just happened there?
