GeekDad HipTrax request line

Ken and I have been doing the HipTrax podcast for, like, a million years a while now, but since we're still finding it hard to stream the feed as we do our regular recording it almost feels as though we've taken a step back with regard to interacting with our audience.

Feel free to use this thread to make song or artist requests, as the title suggests, but also to discuss the project itself and its individual episodes. Is there something you'd like to hear more of? Less of? Do you want us to seek out additional interview opportunities like our epic sit-downs with mc chris and Kirby Krackle?

We live to serve, folks, so let us know what you like!

do you need permission to alter out language in a track, because that would open up a lot more music for the podcast

I'm sure most of the acts we play -- or at least those that I'm friendly with -- would let me do some in-house edits, but I'm a little uncomfortable with censoring people's stuff, y'know?

Not a bad idea, man, although I don't know what the Restless and Elektra (now Warner and Atlantic, respectively) policies are about podcast clearance. Might be worth looking into, though.

Glad you dug it! Tribe mentioned that he'd be putting that one up on his Bandcamp, but it has yet to materialize. I'll lean on him and see if I can motivate him to put it out there so more folks can enjoy it. :)
