Movies I wish had(n't) sequels.

I was watching Matrix the other day and wishing they had made a sequel for it. 

Its such a good movie I just wish they had made another one.  It could of been about how Neo with his newly acquired super powers went about freeing all the people from the curse of the mind controlling robots allowing them all to die since there weren't enough people to take care of all the invalids.  

I also wish Lucas would do a fourth Star Wars movie.  Maybe something about how Luke and Lea spend their lives rebuilding the Jedi order. 

Maybe we could get a third Alien movie. Maybe a intergalactic battle between Space Marines and Face Huggers where everyone dies but one lone Android who wonder the universe searching for a few humans to associate with. Only to find he was secretly infected with the last Alien Queen embryo.

I honestly don't get all the vitriol directed at the Matrix sequels. There's no doubt that the Wachowski Bros let Hollywood get the better of them, not to mention their own pseudo philosophical message, but I think there's still good film there if you are willing to overlook some of these warts.

Have you heard of the De-zionised version? A fan edit that cuts out every bit of the two sequels that happens in Zion and joins the two movies together into a 2.5 hr action fest without any of the ridiculousness of the squid/mech battles. Works really well, so much so that I haven't watched the regular version since getting it.
