The Definitive List of Star Wars Plot Holes
This is something I've been meaning to do for a long time, but never got around to it. It started last Christmas while watching the Blu-Ray of RotJ, and coming to a realisation that it's not just the prequels that don't make sense in certain places. There are many gaping holes in the story lines of all the movies, so I want to record them all here for posterity. I'll kick it off with some of the ones I spotted, please add yours too, but let's just keep them to movies for now.
EP V - Luke's entire Jedi training with Yoda only takes as long as it does for the Falcon to fly to Bespin - I thought it was the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy?
EP VI - Jabba speaks Huttese, C3PO translates it into English, Bosk understands it and replies in his/her own language.
EP VI - Yoda lives for over 900 years but hangs on just long enough to tell Luke the good news about his sister, before croaking in the most overreacted way ever.
EP VI - Don't the rest of the rebels get annoyed at outsiders suddenly becoming Captains and Generals? Luke, Han and Lando
EP VI - "Han, can you reach my lightsaber?" - why doesn't Luke just use the force now he's mastered it!
EP VI - Leia gets knocked off her speeder bike and just forgets all about the rebellion and goes native with the ewoks.
EP VI - Leia, on hearing that Luke is her brother, "somehow I've always known" - why did you snog him in Empire then?
EP VI - What are the rebel strike force doing while the gang are getting all friendly with the Ewoks? Don't they wonder what's happened to their leaders?
EP VI - The Emperor has foreseen everything but didn't see the "being thrown into the chasm" thing coming?
EP VI - One tiny rebel ship crashes into the control room window and the super star destroyer just "falls" into the death star? How does that work
EP VI - The debris falling from the death star would surely destroy Endor

Why would the debris from the death star hit Endor at all. It was orbiting Endor Ok some of the parts are sure to fall into the planet but our orbiting satellites don't fall on the planet. Actually that is becoming a problem since there are so many dead things floating around up there.

But our orbiting satellites aren't 160km in diameter! That's a lot of junk to fall down, some of it is bound to get through

I agree some material would most likely survive to the surface of Endor. I doubt that there would be enough to cause a catastrophic world wide problem.

"The Death Star's explosion in orbit prompted speculation about the consequences for Endor of impact damage. In one of the Star Wars Tales comics, "Apocalypse Endor", an Imperial veteran of Endor refers to the moon being devastated by the impact of falling debris; however, another character dismisses this as a myth, saying that most of the Death Star's mass was obliterated in the explosion, and that the Rebels "took care of the rest."[1] The book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy describes the Rebels using shields and tractor beams to protect their strike team on the moon of Endor. However, many fans simply believe that the majority of the second Death Star was obliterated and the rest simply burned up while falling through the atmosphere of Endor."
I would be more worried about radiation then bathtubs falling on me. I think I read in some Star Trek Tech manual some time ago that Matter/Antimatter reactions give off gamma so I would be more worried about a bunch of little green Ewoks that you wouldn't want to make very angry.
