Need Ideas For A Project Using This Stuff

I know I'm working this a bit backwards from the norm of posting a "here's what I did and how I did it", but I know you guys are up for this challenge.

Earlier today, my boss brought all of the stuff in the picture (plus some things that didn't make the pic), set it on my desk and said "This stuff's been in my basement for years, I haven't ever used it, and I'm sure you can come up with something cool to do with it."

There's two transmitters (one master and one trainer), two engines, a whole bag of servos, twenty props, an engine starter, tools, and about a pound of balsa wood. Basically, everything to hand make a R/C airplane.

Here's the kicker - I don't WANT to make an airplane, I've been an aerospace mechanic for twenty years. I'd like to do something different and a bit unique. A hydrofoil, maybe? A levitation backpack for the 10 year old?

Thow out some ideas here, guys. Just be warned that if I like your idea, I'll probably be peppering you for info and/or details.

Rob, I had the Landspeeder schematic poster on my wall as a kid! One of the things we're making as a summer project this year is the Adam Savage hoverboard. The veto from Mrs. Awesome came up when I threatened to make an attempt at a jetpack for the 10 year old.

Being a Star Wars nut, I was going to say an X-34 Landspeeder, but but you said levitation device's were out!?!? :)

Yes, Tim! One thing I was thinking was an airboat as well. However, now that you mention the hover puck, maybe I can combine the two and make a hovercraft. It's hard to see in the picture, but the engines are the older, combustion version and are HUGE. Quick mental design puts the hover puck at about two feet, but I really dig the idea of the hover puck. I may have to figure out how to do that anyways for some indoor hockey.

Thanks for the ideas!

I was thinking some sort of airboat or hover puck.  Hover puck may be cooler, as you could play some indoor hockey with the kiddos.  Hope that helps a bit.

Okay, Mrs. Awesome just vetoed any sort of levitation device for the Dude.
