Personal Doorbell



Every kid wants some privacy and the sense of respect that comes with knowing that people will ring their doorbell before entering their room. This project can be installed for long-term use with a few extra materials; adding some creativity to the containers can make the whole experience even more fun.

You’ll also need:

• Bell
• 

• Pull-to-release stick-up material
• 

• Cardboard or Lego pieces
• 

• Tape
• 


 
Instructions:


• 

• Connect the bits in the following order: Battery + Cable > Power > Button > Wire > Vibration Motor.
• 

• Depending upon the bell you chose, either insert the Vibration Motor inside or somehow attach it so that it rings the bell when it vibrates.
• 

• The overall idea is to have the Battery/Power/Button assembly located on the outside of a door. The Wire feeds around the edge of the door so it connects to the Vibration Motor and bell on the inside of the door.
• 

• Use your imagination to create a unique housing for your doorbell parts, perhaps with cardboard or Lego pieces. Then use the pull-to-release stick-up material to attach the Battery/Power/Button assembly on one side and the Vibration Motor/bell unit on the other. Wrap a piece of tape around the edge of the door to protect the wire.
