Noah Goldman commented on Dave Langton's blog post 'Why cant we use our smart phones properly?'
"It makes me sick that networks began doing this. I also have a grandfathered-in unlimited data package, and I am terrified to make any changes to my mobile plan for fear of losing my unlimited data. In the US carriers began creating data caps for 2…"

Why cant we use our smart phones properly?

My friend and I were busy chatting the other day, about life and such. As his wife is expecting a baby conversation turned inevitably towards children with him asking how my daughter is and I asking how his wife is coping with pregnancy. Suddenly it struck me mid conversation, given all of the great new…See More

Daniel Donahoo replied to Dave Langton's discussion 'Quick Question from a British Member re: Spelling'
"As an Australia contributor...and therefore developed my language skills in British English....the thing that gets me most is the "u". The "humor vs humour" issue. In fact, you know, I'm waiting for when this internet thing…"

Dave Langton commented on Dave Hale's blog post 'Why I'm Grateful for GeekDad'
"I have never felt like the term geek has had truly negative connotations personally, I guess I have just had a good group of mates. In our own way, everyone everywhere is geeky about something. I have a few friends who can get very geeky about their…"

Dave Langton commented on Dave Langton's blog post 'Wanted: Protection Against Unwanted Channel Changes'
"Wow, some nicely geeky solutions there :) If I am honest though, I suspect my wife would not be bothered with turning on a jamming device and probably get annoyed by it if I did. I really need to make sure that my daughter is raised a geek so that…"

John Yang commented on Dave Langton's blog post 'Wanted: Protection Against Unwanted Channel Changes'

"Its hard to pinpoint my own first addiction. There were a couple of games a have long since forgotten the name of on my old Dragon 32K which I loved. I remember there being a computer game shop near my nans house that I used to pester my parents to…"

Wanted: Protection Against Unwanted Channel Changes

My daughter loves playing with anything that my wife or I have. My wallet, hair brush (yes I do occasionally use one), a bag of crisps, anything at all - she seems to see at as her role in life to take it off me and test that I wont be able to break it by trying to do so herself - and luckily so far most things seem…See More

Michael Harrison replied to Dave Langton's discussion 'Quick Question from a British Member re: Spelling'

Quick Question from a British Member re: Spelling

I am pretty sure that I know the answer to this already, but as a British member who really enjoys the concept of this place and is considering writing his own blog here - are British members also expected to stick to the rule of not using British spelling? I fully understand it if you are a predominantly American community (as it seems to be). I shall try my best in this case but I have to admit that my American spelling is pretty appalling!See More
