Replay by Ken Grimwood I just finished reading this sci-fi-ish story of a man repeating his life over and over again. "Groundhog's Day" you say? Sort of, but with a longer stretch of repeat and a deeper connection to how this phenomenon would feel. Plus, this book was written in the 80's and I hear Ken Grimwood was quite pissed off when Groundhog's Day and Butterfly Effect got made into movies before his book did.

Drop in D&D

It's been pretty hard to keep a gaming table going steadily with everyone's family, work, and vacation schedules. This last Saturday, I finally made it to a D&D Meetup at Game Empire. You get to spend a few hours at home character crunching, show up for a Saturday and play a 3 - 4 hour adventure (or three). How sweet is that? Anyone else going to BoardGameGeek.con later this month?

BoardGameGeek (aka BGG) is running a con here in Dallas the weekend of (19-Nov through 22-Nov).

R Crumb, Book of Genesis

The kids already have two or three kids Bibles, and they enjoy looking at them. But nothing compares to the sheer intensity of our four-year-old looking at R. Crumb's illustrated book of Genesis.



Now, before I go any further, I should make it clear: Genesis is full of sex and violence. It's not R. Crumb's fault, it's humanity's fault. But he does give it a pretty fair treatment, and it's really the book of Genesis, not some kids story with all the good parts sanitized… Continue

GeekDad 2.0 Beta Information

Welcome beta testers!



So, here's the deal: we need guinea pigs - er, "beta testers" to come in and kick the wheels on our new community features.
