I'm a massive music geek and I was very happy to see a link doing the rounds on Twitter recently to a massive archive of radio shows by the legendary John Peel, all hosted on Soundcloud going right back to late 60s, featuring the likes of John Lennon, Joy Division, New Order, The Happy Mondays, The Orb and The Future Sound Of London amongst others.
John Peel rightfully deserves his place in the annals of music history, but I was even more excited to discover that the owner of the Soundcloud account, +dB also had an archive of Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 Essential Mixes going back to 1993. 910, two-hour shows - that's over 75 hours of the world best DJs mixing it up for our listening pleasure. I have re-discovered sets that I used to have on audio tape and played till the tapes wore out, from some of my all time favourite artists including David Holmes, Underworld, Giles Peterson, Richard Dorfmeister and The Future Sound Of London. The FSOL ones in particular are some of the best aural experiences I've ever had!
Download them now while you can!

You can still use the google cache to find them too:
