I’m not a dad, but I am a geek.  When I first saw GeekDad and a post about celebrating GeekDad Day this Father’s Day I was very intrigued.  There are lots of dads that I work with that are, in no way do I want to insult them, geeks.  The stories I hear about the time they spend with their kids programming, flying RC airplanes, building things, etc. makes me excited to be a dad one day.  Not just a dad, but a GeekDad. 

After reading a post by Ken Denmead, “This Father’s Day, Celebrate National GeekDad Day Instead”, it made me want to honor those dads who are truly GeekDads.  Whether you are a GeekDad or your dad is a GeekDad, be proud and advertise that fact.  The days of being a closet geek are over thanks to GeekDad!
