Geek Finds on Pinterest this week include a TARDIS engagement ring, a TARDIS guitar, and a vintage photograph that could have originated on planet Cheron.
Police Box Ring
CAD jewelry designer Gino Arizmendi's work went viral this past week (with a little help from Neil Gaiman) for a ring made out of boredom and quality taste in television. The TARDIS-based engagement ring features a 1CT Princess Cut center stone and a dozen other stones to form the familiar Police Box of Doctor Who. Demand is high, but the custom rings are reportedly available (email ginoarizmendi@artgemsjewelers.com).
GuiTARDIS
By day, Arthur Yet Lew works as a concierge at Walt Disney World Resort. By night, he decorates Fender guitars as an homage to everyone's favorite time machine, the TARDIS. Lew names versions of his guitar based on the corresponding number for Doctor Who (e.g., the second GuiTARDIS is called "Patrick Troughton"). One has to wonder how much better timeless riffs would sound on a timey-wimey axe.
Vintage Photo from Planet Cheron
Back before Bele chased Lokai onto the deck of the Starship Enterprise, they presumably had families back on their home planet of Cheron. Maybe a few generations before them, there would have been some early imaging technology and a slightly different fashion sense. Underlying it all, however, is the cultural bigotry that pitted right-black against left-black. At least, that's what was going on with this vintage photo.

Comment by Daniel Donahoo on April 2, 2012 at 12:05am You know, you need to do a post like this for Geekdad.com Kevin....

Comment by Kevin Makice on March 14, 2012 at 5:51pm And probably expensive, but I'd get one. I'd prefer one more stone at the top of each side for the light at the top. And wearing it must be accompanied by a whooosh-whooosh-whoosh sound.
