Yay! I'll be Talking about Robots at Maker Faire NY!

Just got confirmation that I'll be giving a talk at Maker Faire NY! I'll be demonstrating some "Low Tech/No Tech Robotics Projects for Kids" from my book Robotics: Discover the Science and Technology of the Future.

I'll be at Maker Faire both Saturday and Sunday, helping to man the GeekDad/GeekMom booth. Come say hello to all the writers there, and try out some of the great activities. You can even see some of the projects from my book and pick get your own autographed copy!

I look forward to meeting fans of GeekDad and GeekMom and seeing all the cool robotics and crafts displays. Can't wait!

Both talks have been moved to Sunday. Here are the details: I'll be doing a talk/book signing on the Make Demo stage inside the Maker Shed store at 11:30 . At 3:30 I'll be giving basically the same talk, perhaps with more time to demonstrate the actual projects, on the Make Live stage, not too far from Maker Shed.

My Robotics book will be on sale at Maker Shed throughout the weekend, so if you can't make either of those times and want your copy signed, just bring it by the GeekMom/GeekDad booth -- where we will also have a project from the book you can build while you're there!

NICE! Congrats again, and we will likely be coming on Sunday anyway, so we'll be sure to stop by...

The info is up on my Maker Faire profile page. They've got me down for a talk on Saturday afternoon as well as Sunday -- not sure that's accurate, so I'm checking with them.

I'll definitely be on the Make Demo stage in the Maker Shed store at 11:30 on Sunday! And at the GeekDad/GeekMom booth the rest of the weekend, when I'm not sneaking off to see the rest of the Faire.

Hi Kathy. I hope I will get a chance to hear your talk. Last year I was so busy I barely had time for restroom breaks, but I've got some more help this year. ; j
